Matt is a member of the Firm’s Business and Finance Department, the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group, and the Startup Business Initiative. With over a decade of experience in business administration, sales, marketing, and managing commercial relationships prior to attending law school, Matt draws upon a solid understanding of the needs and concerns of entrepreneurs and business leaders. And with his background as a musician, recording engineer, and writer, Matt seeks to help artists, creators, and entertainers understand and navigate the legal side of their artistic endeavors.

Matt is passionate about helping clients through the negotiation, structuring, and execution of transactions. He also assists with due diligence and risk assessment issues to avoid costly litigation. Matt regularly works on formations, governance matters, compliance, transfers of ownership, restructuring, and successions or dissolutions—every stage of the business life cycle. He can help clients take the necessary steps to create and protect assets, legal rights, and property interests.

At the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Matt enjoyed serving as a teaching assistant for students in Contracts and Legal Analysis and Writing courses.
